When things go wrong as they sometimes will, When the road you're trudging seems all uphill, When funds are low and the debts are high, And you want to smile, but you have to sigh.

When care is pressing you down a bit. Rest, if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns As every one of us sometimes learns.

And many a failure turns about When he might have won had he stuck it out

Don't give up though the pace seems slow -You may succeed with another blow.

Success is failure turned inside out -The silver tint of the clouds of doubt.

And you never can tell how close you are. It may be near when it seems so far

So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit

It's when things seem worst that you must not quit.

one cannot discover new oceans unless one has courage to loose site of the shore!!

the restless soul feels that sometimes we get so used to our comfort zone that we resist any kind of change. It is like inertia, for the mind. body's inertia can be overcome but its inertia of the mind which is difficult to overcome.

one might wonder that why would a 'restless' soul be worried about stagnation but it happens. even the restlessness takes a particular pattern and remains in there,resisting any kind of disturbance or change.hte restless soul realizes that this feeling of inertia or getting too comfortable with what it has and is capable of doing tends to make it lax and carefree.
the soul has lost the zeal to look beyond the mundane and to achieve something or to just do something which is different. but for this it is very essential to move out of the comfort zone and have the courage to start somrthing which is different and challenging.

the restless soul has realized that everything is new sometime and just 1 time ..coz after that one time its a thing that you.ve done before and are hence less apprehensive about. it is like taking a very cold shower ,it stingsat first but once you get the hang of it you are able to stand and even enoy it.

also it is necessary to look beyind your usual realm of things and to have the courage to step out of your comfort zone to find something better ,to expand your comfort zone !!

life !?! wonder wen ill know wat it really wants of me !!

sometyms life makes us go round in circles ..we make the same mistakes ,like the same things n people and hate the same old ones . its like were stuck in a loop -a place which we wanna avoid but just cant.

the restless soul neither knows the meaning nor the reason for this feeling ,but it is very confusing .eventhough i know whats right it doesnt bring me any closer to not doing the wrong thing . people say u learn from your mistakes but is it possible that your so dumb that you make a mistake several times before you figure out how to handle the situation the right way ?!? well if not dumb then definitely unlucky! and as soon as you feel ..'ah! i handled that beautifully' and just before you can finish giving yourself that pat on your back there comes along another one of your disastrous attempts at handling the googly life threw at you !

HAPPY NEW YEAR

For some people new year is like any other day in their life ..nothing special about it. Well such people are few but to some extent they are right ,it is another day in their life.but it is a day where you can make new beginnings and some new ends. Well i agree the same can be done on any other day too but new year has this charm ,some sort of an unwritten rule that since its a fresh beginning of a year and once again the cycle of months and days will continue we can now make some different choices and strive to stick to some good ones we made last year.This is why most of us make new year resolutions(breaking some of them is but natural in most of our cases!!)

Well i dont usually make resolutions on new year ..i feel they are jinxed !! i feel since they are made on the first day or even the first month of the year it becomes very difficult to stick to them . I dont know whether its the case with others too.Nevertheless i always decide to make some changes every year and remind myself to stay loyal to those i made last year. That way its not the new year that is making me make the resolution but just me deciding to do something .

I dont say i stick to all that i decide afterall i am the restless soul ! It depends on the resolve and desire ,but thats another story. I guess sticking to your resolutions ,your choices is very important but it is also important to have the sense and the courage to realize and take such decisions.

Well heres hoping you have a rocking year ahead and at atleat stick to some resolutions that you made {do break a few ,else they wouldn't feel like newyear resolutions !! ;) } .

FROSTED HEARTS

sometyms the restless soul feels that nobody realizes the value of life. or if they do ,they choose to ignore it.

sometyms we ignore evn the most glaring n obvious things -about us..about oders..

i saw a documentary about the way people in afghanistan were treated by taliban.I searched for more info related to this n i realized its not a one-off case or the problem of the afghanese but people are oppressed in a similar manner whenever and wherever a few "people" blinded by their hatred,thirst for power and lack of tolerance and respect for people different from them choose to act as despots.

it pains me to think of the kids growing up in such conditions..with their childhood lost forever and a sense of shame,fear and helplessness instilled into their little hearts.

after the removal of tyrannical government and settling up of democracy hopefully things will improve.but how long it'l take to set up the education system and set the hearts and minds of the people free from all they had to face no one knows...

the question of those autocrats still remains ..why does it happens that people start to think of themselves as being highly superior to others?and even if they do is torturing or denying others their basic rights as humans the only way to proove their point ?

how frosted are their hearts,.... their's who dont even blink an eyelid before torturing someone to death just to prove a point ..

mumbai killings ...

what happened in mumbai is a slap on all our faces. well its not just about mumbai or delhi or kashmir ,its about india, its about us.its about how with all the intelligence services and security systems we are still unable to curb these attacks. its about how cheap a persons life has become.
its wasnt the fault of the people who died that they had decided to venture out of their home that day ...they didnt know they would be seeing their loved ones for the last time. many dont even know when their life finishes or why their life is being snatched from them - it is so sudden n cruel.
what we get to see in the news is only half of the sad story the reality is much more painful. a life lost equals to destruction of an entire family,of their hopes,dreams and plans. its very easy for us to say dont panic -be strong ...but why should they be strong.they are the ones who suffered the full impact of the incident ..to us its just an incident a sad one but nevertheless an incident..but they are living every moment of it.every cruel moment of it.i remember the time during the serial blasts in delhi at the time of diwali, my father and brother were in chandni chowk market and until we didnt knew they were safe i spent some of the worst moments of my life.the pain faced by the family members of those killed in these attacks is something i cannot even imagine- i know it'll be too much for me to ever bear.

and these things have become so frequent that it no longer horrifies me only makes me feel angry and helpless ...and fearful that it might affect me directly the next time.
